Present an educational and creatively
inspirational performance that combines
the drama and enchantment
of a magical stage show with the
excitement and inspiration
of a live music show !
This combination of professional
hand-crafted puppets performing “live”
(not pre-recorded), accompanied
by “live” music, develops an unique
rapport between Artists’ / Puppets
and Audience. It creates a program
designed to give students an opportunity
to experience the “Arts” in an up–close
and personal way. |
The Artists
As working Artists, husband and wife team,
Marilyn Schroeder and Martin
Howard, have dedicated their lives to creating music,
characters, stories
and performances that
will inspire children and enhance their
understanding of life.
Individually, Marilyn and Martin have
each performed throughout the USA
for
many years and have been performing
together since 1995. The
collaboration
of professional puppets and live music has
proven very successful!
Ms. Schroeder studied Art and Theater
in NYC and at SUNY in Albany, NY.
She has been a puppeteer since 1978
performing for many events including;
Governor Mario Coumo’s Holiday Party
(3 yrs), and Commissioner of
Education,
Gordon Ambach’s Holiday
Party (3 yrs.).
She was the puppeteer for the Time
Warner TV Show “Toga’s
World”, (6 yrs)
Mr. Howard is a music arranger as well
as a gifted musician who is
multi-instrumental. He has performed
as a studio musician at both Capital
Records in Los Angeles CA and at the
Opryland Studios in Nashville, TN.
His
music has been professionally
recorded on numerous albums and
has been
used for background music
on many TV shows He is also a
highly accredited,
published poet.
Marilyn and Martin are active members
of the National Organization, The
Puppeteers of America and they serve
as the musical consultants for that
organization.
Together, as PoppyTown
Puppets & Music Co., they have
performed for many,
many theaters,
schools, museums, libraries, resorts,
fairs, and festivals
throughout
New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut,
Pennsylvania
and New Jersey.
